Legionnaires’ disease is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia spread through the inhalation of stagnant water vapour. As a landlord or duty holder of the property, it is your legal responsibility to identify, assess and implement measures to control any legionella risk in your property.
Our legionella risk assessment includes a full inspection of your property, as well as a list of recommendations to avoid potential contamination including full electronic report with pictures and schematic drawings
Booking an appointment
Booking legionella testing is easy – simply call us on 01603 980 333 or email maintenance@nrmltd.co.uk and we will arrange a convenient time and date for an engineer to visit the property. We are happy to liaise directly with your tenant or letting agent, leaving you with one less thing to worry about.
Reason for Testing / Risk Assessment
Legionnaire’s disease is contracted via stagnant water vapour, not the water itself. Our legionella testing includes a full assessment of all pipework and tanks in the property and includes a full report of recommendations to avoid any possible risk of contamination. (Please note small properties do not need an actual water sample).
Ongoing Testing
Landlords are not legally required to hold a ‘legionella testing certificate’. However, they are required to ensure the health and safety of your tenants and it is recommended that a legionella risk assessment is carried out at your property on scheduled programme (based on factors like changes to system, type of tenants etc)
